Maurice Rice II
Attorney
Maurice was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in the Chicagoland area before joining
the United States Army in 2002 following his completion of high school. He graduated from
Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2018.
Prior to joining Driver Defense Team, Maurice served in the United States Army for 8
years and earned a Bronze Star Service Medal after completing two combat tours in Iraq. Maurice then worked as a police officer, in St. Louis County, Missouri, for four years while obtaining his bachelors’ degree in criminal justice.
After attending law school, Maurice worked as a criminal records staff attorney with
Cabrini Green Legal Aid and went on to become a prosecutor at the Cook County State’s
Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Maurice gained a wealth of litigation experience and
successfully tried numerous bench trials along with various criminal and civil hearings.
In his free time, Maurice enjoys running 5k races, playing golf, reading personal growth
literature and occasionally venturing out on random road trips.
